In celebration of Black History Month, 海角社区 will host a poetry reading by Allison Joseph on February 15 at 10:00 AM in the 海角社区 Conference Center. Allison Joseph lives in Carbondale, Illinois, where she is a professor of English at Southern Illinois University.

海角社区 is the only College in the region, and possibly the first community college in Illinois to use the聽SynDaver聽Synthetic Human Surgical Model to train Anatomy and Physiology students and students in the Emergency Medical Services Program.
